Amino Acid Therapy for Weight Loss

Appetite control is a very important part of a successful diet.  Phentermine is one of the most commonly used Rx drug for this purpose.  Unfortunately most patients develop tolerance to phentermine after the first month.  This tolerance is believed to be due to depletion of neurotransmitters (serotonin and norepinephrine).  if you have developed tolerance to phentermine, other appetite suppressants, such as Bontril, Tenuate or Didrex, won't be effective either, since these drugs are chemically similar to phentermine.  This phentermine tolerance has been a huge challenge to physicians as well as to patients.  Luckily, a group of doctors spent a long time to study this issue and found a solution to this problem.  The solution to this problem is the amino acid therapy: by taking specific amino acids at various amounts, these amino acids are able to replete your brain (central nervous system) with the essetial neurotransmitters.  Once your brain has these neurotransmitters, phentermine (and other appetitte suppressants) will be effective again.  We have added these amino acids (NeuroReplete or D5) to our plans and they appear to be quite effective.

Neuro transmitter depletion problem is not only limited to phentermine tolerance.  It's important in many other conditions such as depression, insomnia, ADHD, migraine headaches, parkinson's disease, hormone imbalance, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, adrenal fatigue, PMS. etc.  As a matter of fact, since neuro transmitters are involved in our brain functions and our brain functions are invovled in practically every biology function in our body, neuro transmitters may be involved in more diseases than we know.  But how are neuro transmitters involved in all this? Our nervous system has lots of nerve cells.  These nerve cells communicate with each othe through neuro transmitters.  In other words, these neuro transmitters relay important signals.  When these neuro transmitters are imbalanced, important biological signals cannot be properly delivered and therefore we became sick.  By re-balancing these neuro transmitters, we are able to restore the ability to transmit our nerve signals properly.  Since our nerve system is invovled in practically every bodily function, the neuro transmitter imbalance may be involved in more diseases.  For example, our immune system is influnced by the nervous system.  So neuro transmitters probably will help in certain immune disorders.
