Dr. Richard Cheng pointed out: 1. that the new cases reported in Beijing are not surprising at all. Although discouraging, Dr. Cheng would like to warn everybody that what happened in Beijing can happen everywhere and anywere. Without the final global control of Covid-19, no country and no area are immune from Covid-19. Covid-19 may come back. 2. Nutrition (esp. Vit C, D, Mg, Zinc etc) continues to be ignored. Dr. Cheng recommed during this Covid-19 period, that everybody should try to live a healthy life and supplement at least Vit C, D, Mg and Zinc. This is especially important for those people with high risks of Covid-19 such as elderly, children, people with chronic diseases esp those with immune compromised conditions, first responders, healthcare workers, police or any workers who might come into contact with lots of people, esp, in crowded place.here is the video link: Video Link1 or Video Link2

  • October 14, 2020  The Heat China's response to COVID 19.
As a guest on The Heat panel discussion on CGTN (China Global TV Network, Washington DC) on Oct. 14th to discuss Covid-19. In this 30-min program, Dr. Cheng pointed out that the ”vaccine only“ strategy to Covid-19 is incomplete and we probably will be disappointed. Flu vaccines are one of the most common vaccines. A large review of clinical trials of flu vaccines on healthy adults shows that the flu vaccine is only marginally effective (https://www.cochrane.org/CD001269/ARI...). Moreover, at least 12000 mutations have been found on Covid-19 virus (https://www.nature.com/articles/d4158...). On top of all these, there seems to be a great proportion of Americans who may not be willing to take the Covid-19 vaccine. We need a better and more inclusive Covid-19 strategy. We need to be prepared that Covid-19 vaccines may not be as “miraculous” as being touted. We need to incorporate preventive medical strategy as Dr. Cheng described in Protected Population Immunity to include Vit C, D3, Magnesium, zinc and quercetin etc. Video Link1
